BUILDING BRIGHTER FUTURES

While most of us in Thailand are moaning about returning to work after the Songkran holidays, for ten underprivileged Thai children, it will be a very special time. Find out why here…

From April 20th to 25th, ten children from across Thailand will have the opportunity to gain a broader perspective of their own country and its diverse peoples and cultures as they enjoy a rare visit to their nation’s capital for a fun-filled education and development trip under the sponsorship of World Vision and the support of Insight English language school.

During their trip, the 10 to 12 year olds will be accompanied by female teachers from their schools, and they will have the chance to meet children from different regions of their country and cooperate with them as they complete a series of fun and educational activities designed not only to heighten their cultural awareness but also to teach them some basics of the English language.

It is hoped that the project, which is being covered by Big Chilli magazine and NBT channel’s morning talk program, will also include some day trips to cultural and scientific parks and museums. However, this largely depends on further sponsorship and support.

The project’s main sponsor is World Vision, a global charity that runs a child sponsorship program to assist with the education and development of vulnerable and needy children around the world.  Insight English is supporting the educational side of the project and also coordinating all the activities.

In order to support the other aspects of the project, such as transport to and from Bangkok, accommodation during their stay and day trips, further sponsorship is still needed.  This could be in the form of a donation or assistance with services.

If you think you can help, please contact James Stoddart at Insight English on 02 638 3311.
