Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao...

Fly Me To The Moon (Koh Phangan: Part 1)

My earliest trip to Koh Phangan was on my first ever visit to Thailand in 1994. After spending a couple of days hanging around Khao San to get acclimatized and arrange our onward travel, my friend Stan... Read More >>

Puff The Magic Dragon (Koh Phangan: Part 2)

The day after the full moon party, Stan and I moved in to Ban Kai Bay where Johnny and Sarah were working. Their “working” constituted telling the Thai chef what the farangs wanted to eat or deciding which... Read More >>

Turtle Rock (Koh Tao in the 20th Century: Part 1)

After my time on Koh Phangan, I was already falling in love with Thailand, but it was Koh Tao that first sent me head over heels. It’s a love affair that has grown in degrees over the years, ever changing, constantly evolving... Read More >>

Turtle Rock (Koh Tao in the 20th Century: Part 2)

Like many of the people on the island, Stan and I first visited Koh Tao on the recommendation of friends. Johnny and Sarah had stayed at a quiet, little place called New Way on the main stretch of beach, so that was where we headed. It was to be the start of a beautiful relationship... Read More >>

The guys are awesome, thnkas for pointing us on to them. There's so many diver factories around and it's nice to get some real experiences. Fingers crossed for Sail Rock!

It's a Canon S95 with housing. It's a handy litlte pocket camera with full manual features for those times when you can't carry around a DSLR. I haven't bought a strobe for it yet so I either adjust my white balance as the water depth reduces natural sun light (turning everything green) or post edit with Lightroom.
